Laurie Jacobs, M.A., MFT.
Laurie is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
She received her Master's degree at Notre Dame Du Namur, Belmont. Since then, Laurie has completed her required 3000 hours of experience and the two state exams.
Laurie worked with Project FOCYS for 4 years where she gained experience working with a wide range of clinical problems.
Her client population was diverse in terms of cultural, social, and ethnic background. These clients included families, couples, children, teens, individual adults, several groups, and mandated clients.
She later moved to her current group called Networks Family Counseling Center. Laurie’s practice includes individuals, couples, and families.
Laurie also specializes in helping teenagers and young adults with their developmental and psychological issues.
Her therapeutic approach is based on establishing a genuine, trusting relationship with clients.
This enables her clients to express their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment and leads to greater insight and positive life changes.
Laurie lives in San Francisco and enjoys Bikram yoga, movies, and most importantly, being a therapist.
